Student Health and Wellness at UVA is a confidential resource, open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm, and located at 550 Brandon Avenue in Charlottesville. Student Health also oversees Hoos Got Your Back (HGYB), UVA's bystander intervention program, which delivers workshops focused on preventing harm and creating a community of care to groups and students on-Grounds.

- Collect evidence, including DNA swabs and photographs, following an incident of sexual violence
- Inform you about medical treatment options
- Provide HIV and STI screening and treatment
- Provide pregnancy prevention information and prescriptions (if applicable)
- Provide referrals for follow-up care, including counseling and medical treatment
There is no out-of-pocket cost for a forensic exam after an incident of sexual violence. Any prescriptions are typically covered by private insurance. You can receive these services confidentially without making a formal report to police or UVA.
